Artemis partners with local training providers to offer opportunities for life-long learning including; further education, accredited and non-accredited qualifications, hobbies and interests and skills-based programmes. New classes and courses are starting all the time!
Artemis partners with Full Service Extended Schools and Belfast Metropolitan College to provide classes and learning activities in the Boys Model in North Belfast and in Ashfield Girls High School in East Belfast.
There is something provided for everyone; Spanish conversational classes, Country and Western Line-dancing, Bridge for beginners, intermediate or experienced players. Astronomy and counselling training. Model Railway enthusiasts, Belfast Model Flying club, photography groups, cookery schools just to a name a few of the possibilities.
If you are a tutor, and have a passion to teach the community about an area you are interested in, then why not book a classroom in one of our stunning facilities, with new rooms, interactive white boards and data projection, Home Economic rooms, Art studios and easy access to parking and a Facilities Manager always at hand. Come and talk to us about the possibilities. We are especially happy to help those who are starting up as a new enterprise or business and need assistance to get going through discounts at the beginning.
We have Computer suites in every school with PCs and Macs. In the Girls Model we have an Electronic Village Hall with 20 PCs which can be used by the community during the day, while school is on, as well as in the evening and weekends.
We have technicians available and Mac suites for music and video production. A range of software is available for training for businesses and the community.
We have also a fabulous Hair and Beauty facility in the Girls Model, with 20 Hairdressing stations and six Beauty recliners. These are available both for training, or if you are a Hairdresser or Beautician you can hire seats to run your business from in the evenings or at weekends. Come and talk to us and lets explore possibilities for community benefit.
In the Boys Model we have construction labs, available to do training in brick laying, plumbing, electrical work and painting and decorating. If you could provide training for the general public in these areas and have suitable experience, qualifications and know-how, we would be happy to negotiate and help one another out.
